About Bonogin
Bonogin lies around 81 kilometres away from the city of Brisbane and is a locality on the edge of the Gold Coast Hinterland. Europeans settlers came here around the 1870s with timber cutting and dairy becoming the first industries. Banana plantations became prevalent later as well.
The Bonogin Creek is part of the City of Gold Coast Beaches to Bush land volunteer restoration program. The main tributary of this creek originates in the Gold Coast Hinterland.
