About Woongoolba
Woongoolba is a locality located in the north of the city of Gold Coast. Its state electorate is Coomera and federal division is Fadden. It has a small population of 460 people. The suburbs that surround this area are Alberton, Carbrook, Redland Bay, Steiglitz, Jacobs Well, Norwell, and Gilberton.
It used to be a part of what was called Pimpama Island. This was made up of what are now Jacobs Well, Norwell, Steiglitz, and Woongoolba. The rains would create lagoons and swamps around this area, effectively cutting it off from everywhere else. This would effectively make the area an island.
